Universum International College successfully organized its Open Day, welcoming more than 500 new students who are beginning their academic journey for the upcoming year. The event provided a vibrant opportunity for students to connect, learn, and discover the many international opportunities available through Universum’s partnerships and projects.
As part of the Open Day program, students from the Nursing Department were introduced to the NURIC – Promoting Competencies in Nursing Informatics project. The presentation highlighted the project’s goals and emphasized the increasing importance of digital transformation in healthcare.
NURIC aims to equip future nursing professionals with essential digital and informatics skills, enabling them to effectively use technology to improve healthcare delivery, data management, and patient outcomes.
A key highlight of the presentation was the introduction of new nano-courses that will be integrated into the nursing curriculum as part of the NURIC project. These short, targeted learning modules are designed to strengthen students’ competencies in nursing informatics — bridging the gap between healthcare and technology while ensuring that nursing education remains relevant in an increasingly digital world.
