9th NURIC Consortium Meeting Held Online: Key Updates & Next Steps

The NURIC project partners recently met online for the 9th Consortium Meeting, bringing together teams from all participating countries to review progress, share updates, and plan the next stages of the project. The virtual session was highly productive, reflecting strong collaboration and steady advancement across all work packages.

The meeting opened with an overview of the auditor’s visits, including the in-person assessment in Kosovo on November 17 and the online visit to Israel on November 25. Partners discussed follow-up actions and ensured alignment with project requirements.

The dissemination team presented progress on the website, newsletter, and social media activities, all of which continue to increase the project’s visibility and outreach. Both the Kosovo and Israel teams reported on the status of their pilot activities. Partners emphasized the importance of completing all remaining checklists and discussed ideas for designing a visible certificate course that combines nano courses and attracts at least 15 participants. Work also continues on collecting digital competency self-assessment tests from all pilot sites, supporting the project’s evaluation and research objectives.

Several publications are underway, including a review on Digital Competency Self-Assessment Tests and a Policies Review Paper. The consortium also explored ideas for additional publications that could further disseminate the project’s findings and impact.

Looking ahead, partners began planning the next in-person consortium meeting, which will take place in Athens on March 12–13, 2026.

Overall, the 9th NURIC consortium meeting showcased the project’s continued progress and the strong commitment of all partners. With ongoing pilots, expanding dissemination, and major events ahead, the NURIC project is moving confidently into its next phase, ready to strengthen digital competencies across higher education systems.
