Advancing Nursing Education through Innovation: NURIC Pilot Launched at UNIVERSUM International College

UNIVERSUM International College is proud to announce the launch of the pilot course “New Technologies in Nursing Practice” within the framework of the NURIC – Nursing Innovation in the Western Balkans project. The pilot course focuses on equipping future nurses with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving healthcare environment. The curriculum introduces students to key emerging technologies, including:

  • Wearable devices and mobile health applications
  • Robotics and advanced health monitoring systems
  • Virtual reality in nursing education
  • Ethical implications of using advanced healthcare technologies

Delivered in a face-to-face format in Albanian, the course combines theoretical learning with practical activities such as case study analyses and presentations on future technology trends in nursing. The academic content of the pilot is led by Prof. Dr. Imri Vishi, whose expertise ensures high-quality delivery and relevance to current nursing practice. This initiative reflects UNIVERSUM International College’s strong commitment to innovation, quality, and impact in EU-funded projects, as well as its dedication to strengthening digital competencies in healthcare education across the Western Balkans.
